In accordance with Khmer tradition (and the reality of living in a studio apartment filled with all we need), we request gifts in the form of cash or checks (typically given in a red envelope) which will help us fund our future together.

Though this may be unfamiliar to our Western friends and family, the practice is deeply rooted in Khmer tradition and is received with deep gratitude and respect, even when the amounts are small.
